The Ship Inn at Brandon Creek (near Littleport)
Thanks to Mrs J Legge.
Nicky Stockman
A photograph of The Ship Inn at Brandon Creek showing the site of the old A10 road bridge taken from a postcard owned by Mrs J. Legge. This was the pub frequented by the storyteller, Chafer Legge, who gave W. H. Barrett many of his stories which were in turn transcribed by Enid Porter. The picture is take from the banks of The Little Ouse River and would have been in the area that the robbers were hung in The Black Sheet Story.
